The activity of this species begins at dusk and continues after dark. It roosts during the day in rock crevices and buildings. This species roosts singly or in small groups of several individuals. Maternity colonies of up to 200 individuals have been recorded. It is insectivorous and is frequently observed feeding around electrical lights. Its diet primarily consists of beetles, moths, wasps, bees, dipterans, and other insects.
