This species is nocturnal and usually emerges from its roost after sunset, although it is occasionally active before sunset. Activity peaks approximately one hour after sunset and again before dawn. Individuals are frequently observed foraging around streetlamps, either singly or in groups. It is insectivorous, feeding primarily on dipterans, wasps, bees, beetles, moths, true bugs, caddisflies, lacewings, antlions, and other insects.
