This species is nocturnal and usually emerges from its roost about 40 minutes after sunset. It roosts in rock crevices and buildings and enters torpor during the day. It is well adapted to arid environments. Individuals roost solitarily or in small maternity colonies of females and juveniles. It is insectivorous, feeding primarily on scorpions, spiders, camel spiders, centipedes, beetles, dipterans, true bugs, moths, and grasshoppers.
