Location
It is distributed throughout all governorates of the KRI. It has been recorded from Bamo, Khoshk, and Bzenan Mountains, Horen, Kalar, and the Qoratu area in the Garmian area; Hawraman Mountain and Zarin and Pshta Villages in Halabja Governorate; Chnara, Mawat, Qaradagh, and Penjween areas in Sulaimani Governorate; Halgurd Mountain, Sidekan, Rawanduz, Koya, and Shamamk in Erbil Governorate; Amedi, Benavi, and Bijil in Duhok Governorate; and Sarbashakh, Shereen Dam, and Topzawa in Kirkuk Governorate. This species is mostly nocturnal and becomes active after dusk. During the day, it hides under stones, shrubs, and vegetation; it does not dig burrows and relies on camouflage.
